National Volunteers Week

In recent times, our school, like many others, has had fewer volunteers on site in order to limit external visitors on site. This does not mean, however, that we do not appreciate our wonderful parent and wider community volunteers to help us in so many ways. Our coaches and camp volunteers have been essential in keeping extra-curricular activities running for our children, and we have had so many other supports in terms of offers, information, and encouragement for our staff. Thank you to all of our current and potential volunteers. Please know that we appreciate you even though our current policies prevent some of the great work we know you can do!

Id like to use this opportunity to put the call-out to some more volunteers to support our Inclusive Education program. If you have supported previously or are interested in supporting with literacy programs within the school, and are a registered volunteer, or willing to register, please contact our Inclusive Education Leader, Danielle Nak, via admin@stpaulba.sa.edu.au. Please note that our volunteers must register through a process which includes being COVID-19 vaccinated and having a Working with Children Check. Our administration team can support with this process also.

National Support Staff Day

Today we say a special thanks and recognise the wonderful work of our support staff in our St Paul Lutheran School Community. So much of what happens at a school on a day to day basis goes unseen by so many people-staff included.

Walking around the school sometimes it’s hard not to notice just how important our support staff are to the education of our students. Whether it is providing guidance in the classroom, assisting with first aid, chatting to children about new books in the Library or being a sounding board for teachers, these staff members are always busy, dedicated and passionate about what they do. We are so grateful and blessed to work with and be supported by such caring and committed people.

It is people like these, working away in the background, who make our community what it is.

Reception Enrolments

Many of you may have seen a brochure for St Paul Lutheran School in your mailbox in the past week. Due to the interest generated from this mail-out, I am now making one final call-out to any current families who have children due to begin Reception in 2023 or 2024. It is essential that we have enrolment forms for your child as soon as possible. If you need help with this, please ask at the office or email our Registrar, Monique Tabuena:  mtabuena@stpaulba.sa.edu.au
