Mathematics In Room 7 - Year 4

As part of the Year 4 Mathematics Curriculum, the students in Room 7 have been participating in learning about how our number system can extend to tenths and hundredths (decimal numbers). Students have used playdough as a hands-on learning tool to demonstrate their knowledge of how decimals are part of a whole number. Through this they were also able to see the linkages between decimal number and fractions. What Math Superstars we have in Room 7!

E-Safety with the E-Safety Commissioner

With many of our students currently off with COVID at the moment, it is timely to remind you of the eSaftey Commissioner website. The website aims at empowering all Australians in being safe when using electronic devices.

There is a page dedicated to children. Screen time at home may have increased with students being unwell, so we encourage parents to discuss being safe when at home.

https://www.esafety.gov.au/kids is the page to go to for students to navigate. We suggest that parents of our little people go through it with their children. Some of our older people might want to look through themselves.

This is the page you will see if you access the page.

Have fun in exploring how you can all be safer online.
