St Benedict Day

Liturgy & Activities

On Tuesday 28 June all students (Pre-Primary to Year 8) and teachers will be wearing their House Sports uniform as we join together to celebrate this Feast Day.

Kindergarten students can also join in by wearing something green on the day.

All House groups will gather together, with Pre-Primary to Year 8s engaging in activities to get to know each other, develop some House Spirit and have some fun!

The Year 7 and 8 House Representatives and Year 6 House Captains have been meeting to come up with a plan to show, or at least be able to 'sound' like the most-spirited House.

During Period Four (11:45am) the Houses will play a couple of games initially as 'ice-breakers', when the big and little students come together and are joined by the 'older kids' (ie. staff) to have some fun.

The Benedict House will start its day with a Liturgy celebrated by Fr Mark with our wonderful students' involvement. There will be an opportunity to play a couple of games and test their 'chants' before they enjoy a meal together in the form of a sausage sizzle and drink.

If any Benedict parents/carers would like to be involved by cooking up some sausages from 10:30am, please contact the College. Benedict parents are also welcome to attend the Liturgy.

We are looking forward to an enjoyable afternoon where we all share in some fun, gather as a community, make some new friends and share in another positive experience at Salvado Catholic College.
