Middle School

There has been plenty happening in Middle School recently with several assessments due, across all subjects as we draw closer to the release of Semester One reports next week. Our hope is that the students put in their 'best effort' with the support of parents and teachers to achieve to the best of their abilities.

A number of co-curricular opportunities have also been made available this term and it's great to see our students and staff engaged in developing their skills in dance, band, choir and even at the Homework Club on Monday afternoons.

There was 'fun to be had' in Compass Time this week also. All Year 7 and 8 students were out in the sun on Tuesday enjoying some friendly competition. The organised activities included a basketball 'shoot-out' and tunnel ball which had everyone doing their best as a team for their House. The results will be announced at the final Middle School assembly for the term next week.

We will also have an opportunity to announce some awards to recognise our student's efforts throughout Term Two at the Middle School Assembly. This will include the students receiving the highest number of Merits for their year groups and I would also like to recognise those students who achieved the highest level of attributes for all their subjects in their reports, to again recognise those students who give their 'best effort'; which is all we ask of teachers from all of our students.

As mentioned, with reports being sent home next week students, parents and teachers will have the opportunity to meet early next term, to discuss some results to guide and support our young people to continue to improve in Semester Two.
