Stomp Dance Incursion

Thursday May 5th: Our students were fortunate enough to experience physical activity in the form of dance!  Looking to the future, this might also be a fantastic learning option for PE on a more regular basis.

“The dance clinic was GREAT!  Everyone was having so much fun and were really engaged with the activity!” - Jacquie, JLA teacher

“Maddie (instructor) made it enjoyable and was well delivered to teachers and students alike!  It was a great aerobic dance session for all!” – Sally, SLA teacher

Prep and JLA Ball Handling Activity / Homework

Last week Prep and JLA students may have bought home a ball handling and bouncing activity in their reading bags.  This is an optional homework activity, aimed to increase ball handling skills over the next few weeks.  When completed please bring them to your PE lesson – I would love to see the results!  Mention this message from the newsletter and you may receive an extra surprise when your completed homework comes back ;)

Congratulations to all competitors – you were gracious in your sportsmanship and also gave your best effort on the day, especially considering most of us were in our debut race.

Congratulations also to Rueben, Olivia, Joseph, Emily, Hari and Levi who have gained an opportunity to compete at the Division Cross Country Meet at Bundoora Park in the coming weeks.  We wish them all the best!
