Principal's Report
The winds of change...
It is with great pleasure, I can confirm the following easing of restrictions for Miners Rest Primary School from next Monday 14 December.
Welcome back, next week!!
This Friday will be our final assembly for 2020, and it will remain online (via Webex).
The code for this Friday's assembly is: 165 473 7028
Presentation Evening is on next Wednesday 16 December, from 6pm sharp.
The evening has been mostly pre-recorded. Just prior to 6pm, all families should log into our WebEx Presentation Evening Opening on the following meeting number: 165 697 6624.
From there, you will be provided with a link to view the pre-recorded scholarships, carols, speeches and awards part to the evening. You will be able to watch that at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home.
There is no on-site formalities this year, unfortunately, but we have the next best thing - we hope!
I'm sure you'll all enjoy still seeing our room award winners, new school captains, Catherine King volunteer award recipients, scholarship winners and much more...
I am able to finally confirm, we are receiving an additional two supervised school crossings, to further enhance the safety of our kindergarten & school community and in particular, that of our students and young children.
We are hopeful works will take place over the Christmas holiday period and be available for families to utilise in the new school year.
Please see an attached image of the locations, approved in agreeance between our School Council and City of Ballarat.
The most important part of this great new asset, is that all students and families use them daily. Should numbers drop, in their use, funding would cease and they would no longer be offered.
