Step Up to Clean Up

This year, Clean Up Australia Day will be held on Sunday the 7th of March.

It's a great way to give back to your community while spending a bit of time in nature.

You can join a community event in your area, click on this link for more information https://www.cleanup.org.au/community or just go outside and clean up the street you live in.

Sustainability and Environment Team

We held our first meeting last week to talk about how we can become more sustainable and what environmental issues we would like to raise awareness of. The students decided to help reduce food waste going to landfill by ensuring we have compost bins in our rooms that will be used in our garden compost bins or for the worm farms. Also this term we are raising awareness of energy consumption by promoting Earth Hour which takes place on Saturday 27 March 2021 at 8.30pm. You can find out more by clicking this link https://www.earthhour.org.au/get-involved

Our new isea icare ambassadors were set to participate in their first excursion on Tuesday but unfortunately it was cancelled. They were going out to Seal Rock in Westernport Bay to view the thriving Seal Colony. The next excursion will be in Port Phillip Bay, watch this space for more information.
