School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) News

At Cranbourne South, we have High Expectations. So what do High Expectations mean?

For new families to our school in 2021 and as a refresher to our existing families,  CSPS is an SWPBS School (School Wide Positive Behaviour Support).  We as a whole school community stand united in our expectations of student behaviour at CSPS.  All staff and students work together to understand the differences between each, in student-friendly language, and the relative consequences.

Although our focus is always on Positive Behaviour, we need to have a balance with ensuring a safe and orderly environment for all.

At Cranbourne South Primary School we have a culture of High Expectations. CSPS implements the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Framework (SWPBS). An essential component of SWPBS is to develop a continuum of procedures to discourage inappropriate behaviours. This resulted in the development of a Minor and Major Behavioural Expectations Chart.

Positive Behaviour Matrix

In our classroom, the teachers and students have been focusing on our Behaviour Matrix. This is an important process in developing School Climate. Please refer to the Student Wellbeing section of the website for further information.
