Facilities Master Plan

Early in 2020, our School Council made the decision to fund the development of a Facilities Master Plan for Brighton Primary School (BPS).

The purpose of this Facilities Master Plan is to upgrade our school design transforming our classroom learning environments to reflect contemporary educational design and a pedagogical approach based on current research.

The school would then use this Facilities Master Plan to advocate for additional capital funds from the State Government to improve our school.

Who is developing the Facilities Master Plan?

After conducting an interview process, School Council selected architects Clarke Hopkins Clarke (CHC) to develop the Facilities Master Plan for Brighton Primary School.

CHC have worked with hundreds of education providers and school communities throughout Australia and internationally, providing master planning and design services for education modernisations, heritage transformations and inclusive specialist education precincts.

Facilities Master Plan Engagement Process

The engagement process for the Brighton Primary School Master Plan will be curated to enable the design team to build a deep understanding of the campus context, the child / teacher / parent / community needs and to develop a shared vision for the campus.

This will include workshops and presentations with students, staff, parents and the School Council Facilities Master Plan Committee.

Clarke Hopkins Clarke met with a group of students and most teachers on Wednesday 17th December 2020 to capture their insights and elicit feedback as part of the Facilities Master Plan engagement and design process.

We are excited to share that on Wednesday March 3rd 2021 Clarke Hopkins Clarke in conjunction with our School Council will be facilitating an information session for parents to also gather their ideas and elicit their feedback.
