Mardi Gras (Carnaval français) dress-up day, Thursday 18th February.
Bonjour!
On Thursday 18th February, BPS will be celebrating Mardi Gras (Carnaval français).
Mardi Gras is celebrated in France as part of Lent: a catholic religious tradition, that ties in with spring festivals. It symbolises letting go of the old and welcoming new beginnings. Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is a time to have fun, eat lots of treats and be someone different for a day.
Students may dress up in colourful costumes and masks.
NB: Masks will be provided at school.Fairytale Puppetry (Exploring Languages) will be performing Jungle Book.
We look forward to celebrating this special event at BPS.

Wilson Street School Crossing Alert

Bayside Council and BPS encourage families to please use the school crossings supplied in both Male and Wilson Street to ensure maximum student safety.
Our First School Assembly in 2021

We will continue to hold these assemblies from 3:00 - 3:30 pm in the gymnasium moving forward. Unfortunately, parents are unable to attend (yet) due to DET Covid Guidelines.
We will let parents know when you are able to join our assemblies again. Hopefully, very soon.
Thank you to class 6A for the wonderful work they did to host this assembly.
Also thank you to our assembly performer, Will T. 6B who sang 'Let It Be', by The Beatles.
