First Steps into Learning

First Steps into Learning

Free for all children from birth to 4 years of age

This playgroup styled programme runs every Thursday 9:30-11am, during school terms commencing February 11th.

Messy Play

At First Steps your child can engage in messy play and someone else will clean it up! Children love to glue, finger paint and play in water, and they can do this to their hearts content assisted by educators or you can join in with them. The children have almost an hour of free play before we gather for Group Time, followed by morning tea.

Indoor / Outdoor play

Your child can choose between indoor and outdoor play, supervised by qualified Educators. Parents are encouraged to play with their children, but we also recognise that you might enjoy time to relax, so come early and grab a cup of coffee from the Café on your way down the stairs and chat with other mums while the children settle in and get to know their environment.

Group Time

Children sit with their parents and engage together in an active singing and story telling time. This time is facilitated by an Educator but children have the opportunity to participate, as well as bring in their own songs or story books to share.
