Call Out Bullying

Doncaster Secondary College recognises that all people should be able to work, learn, interact and socialise in an environment that is free from bullying.

Bullying is repeated verbal, physical and/or social behaviour that intends to cause physical, social and/or psychological harm.

Our ability to effectively reduce and eliminate bullying behaviour is greatly affected by students, parents and carers reporting concerning behaviour as soon as possible.

Students should speak to their DiSCovery teacher or Year Level Coordinator or any trusted member of staff, including teachers, wellbeing staff or social worker, if they see bullying occur.

Parents or carers who develop concerns that their child is involved in or has witnessed bullying behaviour at Doncaster Secondary College should contact the Year Level Coordinator immediately.

It is important to understand that serious bullying, including serious cyberbullying, is a criminal offence. This is why we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to bullying and workplace harassment and why we always support families to make a report to Victoria Police in instances of serious bullying.

To understand why serious bullying is a criminal offence, here is some information on Brodie’s Law.

Our College motto is Working together - Learning together. We do this by respecting that which makes us different and calling out bullying.  Always.
