YEAR 7 I&E AND EHELS HUMANITIES

In recognition of NAIDOC week which commenced during the school holidays, our Year 7 I&E and ELHES Humanities group began Term 3 with inline with NAIDOCs week “Heal Country".

Here is a reflection from our Year 7 student, Tiffany.

“In our newly started Geography unit, the year 7 ELHES and I&E Humanities group explored the connection between the use of ‘songlines’ and ‘star maps’ used by Indigenous Australians, and today’s modernised navigation systems.Following such learning, the significance of the Bunya Mountains was also researched and discussed, in correlation with the research into Aboriginal culture and geography”.
