Deputy Principal, Wellbeing

Pastoral Care

I hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday despite the uncertainty around border closures and lockdowns! I trust all students are feeling refreshed and positive about the new semester ahead.

College has a proud tradition of high standards that match our exceptional independent education and co-curricular opportunities. I am writing to ask all families for their support in meeting and maintaining our expectations.

Each student at The Hamilton and Alexandra College is individually responsible for ensuring that he or she is dressed in the correct College uniform and neatly groomed at all times during every school day. This includes the period of travelling to and from school.

Students are required to wear full school uniform to and from school. Full school winter uniform is:

Girls:

  • Winter skirt or long trousers. The length of the skirt must be mid-calf.
  • Blazer must be worn to and from school and to all assemblies and services.
  • School jumper.
  • Blue shirt and tie
  • School coloured hair ribbons only. Hair must be tied back if longer than shoulder length.
  • One set of studs or sleepers in the lobe of the ear.
  • Rings, bracelets, and necklaces are not permitted.

Boys:

  • Hair should be neat, tidy and off the collar.
  • Blazer must be worn to and from school and to all assemblies and services.
  • Blue shirt and tie.
  • Long grey trousers, black or grey socks.
  • School Jumper .

Please note there will be no after school academic assistance on Wednesday 21 July due to the Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews.

Year 10-12 parents are reminded to return the permission slip for the “P.A.R.T.Y” Program. This is a virtual program on making good choices around safety for senior students.

If all goes to plan… we are excited about the term ahead with Wellness Week, College Has Got Talent, House Afternoons, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, House Music and full sporting and co-curricular program.

Wishing all students and families a positive Term Three.
