Wellbeing

Term 3 has started ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidociously’ if that is a word.

Yesterday, the Year 3-6 children, along with some of the staff were fortunate to be able to attend Loyola College to be part of the dress rehearsal for their absolutely fabulous performance of ‘Mary Poppins’. I felt like I was at Her Majesty’s Theatre with some of the best talent in Australia. The show was simply wonderful and so was the audience!

All the children I spoke with marvelled at the costumes, the creative lighting, the amazing tap dancers, the clever magic, the wonderful humour, the well designed sets, the superb singing voices and the patience of the producer who took 2 years to put this show on due to the COVID-19 interruptions. They finally got there and so did we!

Thanks Loyola College for the invitation.

I feel our wellbeing all improved today as we were able to sit back, laugh, sing, clap and just ‘be’. Maybe next on the list for our wellbeing could be ‘fly a kite’, have ‘a spoonful of sugar’ or even ‘feed the birds’!

Drawing time to begin the Prep day is a routine the children look forward to and enjoy. It is a great calming activity as the children chatter with one another about their families, their pets, their favourite colours and so much more. Teachers learn a lot from Prep children!

Rainbows, Mums, Dads, Friends, Erupting Volcanoes, Mountains, Love hearts and many abstract pictures all telling stories are proudly shared by the Preps each day. I love my visits to the Prep classroom!

Have a great week!
