Careers UPDATE

Hi to our Senior School students and parents.

This is a quick general as well as year level specific, Careers update for our Year 9, Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12 students.

General for Year Levels 9 – 12

I am available for student and parent appointments to discuss pathways, subject selection courses and careers. Contact browne.craig@eastdonsc.vic.edu.au to make an appointment. Parent appointments might be conducted over Microsoft Teams (School restrictions policy dependent).

Year 10:

  • Work experience forms are due by the end of Term 2. Please ensure you get these completed and handed into the Careers Office as soon as possible.
  • The Year 10 University Experience Day is scheduled for July 15 so please ensure you consent to the event on Compass so you can select your workshop.

Year 11

  • Work Experience has been booked in for you if you are not going to camp in week 6 of Term 3. It’s a great chance to try a career out and complete the work experience you missed last year. Forms are due back as soon as possible.

Year 11 and Year 12:

  • The annual EDSC Careers Expo is back for 2021 on July 22 in the EDSC Stadium. The expo is an amazing opportunity to engage with Universities and TAFEs and ask them about courses and careers pathways.

Year 12:

  • VTAC and applying for University does not begin until Term 3. ALL Year 12 East Doncaster Secondary College students will have appointments to register, find courses and apply for 2022 courses in the careers office. Appointments will be live on Compass early in Term 3.
  • Students should be organising to attend as many University and TAFE Open days as possible when they kick off in Term 3. Open days are a great chance to research particular Universities and TAFEs and offer insight into programs and campuses.

If students or parents have any general Careers or Subject enquiries, they can call me at the College to discuss or email me at browne.craig@eastdonsc.vic.edu.au
