ACTIVE KIDS - NEW SOUTH WALES

What is Active Kids?

Active Kids is a program to help NSW families meet the cost of getting their kids into sport, active fitness and recreation activities.

From 1 July 2019, parents, guardians and carers can apply for a second $100 Active Kids voucher. This means two $100 Active Kids vouchers per calendar year are available to school-enrolled children. The vouchers can be redeemed for registration or membership fees with an approved provider who has registered with the Active Kids program.

Can the vouchers be used for the same activity?

Both vouchers can’t be used for the same provider within the same term, unless:

  • they are used for two separate activities, or
  • they are used for the same activity but in separate terms.

When will the program finish?

This is a 4 year program that’s currently planned to run until 31 December 2021.
