Principal's message

Dear Parents/Carers,

One week to go and spring is in the air. We've been lucky enough to have some nice days at the start of the week.

FOOD SHARE

Foodshare is a free , not for profit organisation in Warrnambool that supports our local community with the provision of food and other necessities to our most vulnerable and those in need. It is a service that is run primarily by volunteers, and relies on the goodwill and donations from businesses and the communities in which they serve. Foodshare is an integral part of not only our school, but many around the district .

We are very grateful and reliant on the goodwill and services offered by foodshare that enable us to provide food for our vulnerable students and those who may have forgotten their lunch.

If anyone needs to contact Foodshare you can do so by calling 0428 197 715. Or alternatively feel free to contact our Well-being centre here at school and we can also help you.

Please consider donating to our Foodshare appeal . Without this service we would not be able to provide food and goods to children and families who require it.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the Warrnambool Primary School community with the amount and variety of donations for this year’s food share drive.

We will display the donations at assembly on Friday and foodshare will collect next week. Thank-you to everyone who supported this wonderful program.

There are many members in our community in need and this is a great support to them.

NAPLAN RESULTS

Students in Year 3 and 5 had their NAPLAN results sent home this week. Please take the time to look at them and if you feel the need, please contact your child’s class teacher if you have any questions.

WARM WEATHER

The days are brighter and the weather is getting warmer which is fantastic. At school students are now required to wear a hat when out at recess and lunch. We also encourage students to wear hats and apply sunscreen if they are outdoors for extended periods outside of school times during spring.

It’s also a great time of year to get active with your children. The upcoming school holidays will be an opportunity for some relaxation and recreation for all families.

PUPIL FREE DAY- Monday 12 September 2022

Staff are engaged in Professional Learning on this day. No children are required at school however ‘Their Care’ is operating for those enrolled students.

CONGRATULATIONS CAITLYN KAVANAGH

Congratulations to Caitlyn Kavanagh for being selected to boundary umpire the WDFNL Grand Final. We know how much this means for Caitlyn and we are very proud of her.

Caitlyn has not only put in a lot of work for herself to get this far she is also a great mentor for up and coming umpires in the Warrnambool area. Well done!
