OLD CLOTHES THAT ARE ONLY GOOD FOR RAGS?

Recycling the clothes is often used for new materials for other industries for example, some going to insulation, where it's shredded and used as insulators.            

Some clothing companies accept donations of their brand in store:

H&M, Zara, Uniqlo, Country Road

Sheridan accepts any brand of pre-loved quilt covers, sheets and towels for recycling. Visit your local Sheridan Boutique, Studio or Outlet store.

 So many great ideas to keep you busy on the holidays!

BIN WEIGH IN!

In other news our bin weigh in has been completed for the term and I am excited to announce that nearly every class made a HUGE reduction in the total weight of their red bins. As a school we reduced the rubbish in our red bins by 12kg today alone!!!! That is an incredible result and everyone should feel very proud of their efforts. What a great diversion from landfill.

We are participating in the Melbourne Zoo's They're Calling On You Program which raises funds for the Gorilla Doctors who are the only organisation able to provide life-saving medical care to fragile wild gorilla populations in Africa. Please see below for the items they accept and drop them off to the office anytime!

• We accept the following items in any condition: mobile phones, tablets, chargers and headphones.  
• We offer free courier pick up for collections of 10 or more phones Australia-wide.  
• Every phone helps support the work of the Gorilla Doctors, who provide life-saving medical care to fragile, wild gorilla populations.
