Australian U/21 Country Hockey Team

Molly Klix – current Year 12 Ballarat High School student – has been named as goalkeeper for the 2022 Australian Country U/21 hockey team after her participation as a member of the Victorian Country team in the Australian Country Championships held in Perth. She will travel to Indonesia in January 2023 to play national teams from many other countries.

Molly began playing hockey as a Year 7 student at Ballarat High School, wanting to try a new sport. She immediately gravitated toward the position of goalkeeper. She has represented Ballarat High School at both BAS and State Championship level. She has also been a member of both junior and senior West Victorian hockey teams. Whilst COVID has interrupted many competitions, she has been a member of the Hockey Vic U/18 Academy. Molly currently plays for Altona in the Premier League.

Molly will be joined in the Australian team by 2021 Ballarat High School graduate Kahlua Smart.
