Complete Works

Theatre Productions

It has been wonderful to see students engaging with their texts through live performances by The Complete Works Theatre Company in 2022.

Following on from the performances of Macbeththat were presented for Year 11 students in Term 2, this term Year 10 students have also enjoyed the opportunity to experience Shakespeare in the dramatic form of Complete Works’ Romeo and Juliet in an abridged version where three actors performed key scenes playing multiple roles.

Year 12 students have also been able to witness a comparative study integrating scenes from bothThe 7 Stages of Grieving by Wesley Enoch and Deborah Mailman and vignettes from The Longest Memory by Fred D'Aguiar, enabling them to make clear thematic comparisons and contrasts between the two texts.

Our guests made mention of the exceptional behaviour, attentive observation and intelligent questions asked by students following each performance.
