Aoife's Message

Hello Holy Cross families,

Term Three has ended with plenty to celebrate at Holy Cross. We've had

interschool basketball, athletics, a sustainability conference, our Yr 3 excursion to Melbourne Museum and Holy Cross Feast Day/Footy Day. Check out the photos on our 'Holy Cross happenings' page!

Maintenance update

A HUGE thank you to the crew who came along on Saturday to work on the sheds, dig a drainage channel, top up the sand pit and fill another skip; Michelle, Harrison & Emily Beven, James, Isabella, Diego & Tallulah Brown, Ryan, Adriane, Alex, Tommy & Kayleigh Ward, Rhiannon Bowden, Matt Whiting, Kellie Mc Donald and Mackenzie from SchoolsOut. Also a mention to my husband Cameron who once again spent a weekend with me at HC - it's the place to be ;-)

Our driveway works will continue in the holidays. Line marking will also take place over the coming weeks, thanks to the generosity of the PFA in supporting this.

MACSSIS

The MACSSIS Family Improvement Survey was emailed out to some families at the beginning of last week. At least one parent/guardian in each randomly selected household had the email sent to an email address that we have on our records. We would REALLY appreciate you spending 15-20 minutes completing it as the data we receive will help us to further improve our school community. You have until Friday, 16th September (today!) to complete the survey.

School uniforms

Term 4 is when we 'technically' move over to our summer uniform. However, with weather still predicted to be on the cool side please feel free to mix and match the uniform as you see fit for the first couple of weeks of term. Please note however that it is time for hats to be worn when outside.

Sacrament of Eucharist

Congratulations to all of the children who celebrated their First Eucharist over the last three weekends. Thank you to Lisa Peake, Sheree Sullivan and Emily Merrett for your organisation and support of our children. Thank you to our families, you are the first Church for your children, and of course we thank Fr Vin for celebrating with us.

Farewell to Maree Morris - St Brigid's Primary School

Maree is finishing her time at St Brigid's this term. We thank Maree for her support over the years as we worked together as two schools, for the good of our Parish. We wish Maree well with her future endevours.

Thank you to everyone who has made this term a successful one, it takes a community effort to ensure the best for our children. Thank you staff, families and children for all that you bring to our little spot in this vast land of ours.

Wishing you all a relaxing break, filled with opportunities to spend time with loved ones.
