Dear Parents and Carers,
Another Term has come to an end at EVPS… and what a productive term it has been. After two years of disrupted education we have all appreciated the consistency of on-site learning. This term has been busy. It has been exciting to get back to camps, excursions and interschool sports. This week we had our first face to face 3 way conferences in a long time and it was so wonderful to welcome parents back into our school.
As part of Victoria’s ongoing management of the coronavirus pandemic, changes to pandemic orders will come into effect from 11:59pm, Friday 24 June. Government imposed third dose mandates in education will be lifted. We will no longer be checking vaccine status of staff or visitors to the school.
A reminder that onsite COVID-19 and influenza vaccination clinics are being held at schools in Whittlesea, on 27 June. All community members of any age are welcome to receive a COVID-19 and/or flu vaccination at the clinics, and can walk in with no appointment required. Please see attached flyer.
As the Term comes to a close, I would like to farewell the following staff:
Megan Long
Cyndy Tennent
Maddy Ellis
Anthony Lentini
Stephanie Paolilli-Treonze
We wish them well in their new endeavours.
Whilst there are serious staff shortages across the nation we are very pleased to be able to announce that we will be fully staffed on the first day of Term 3. We will introduce all new staff in our first newsletter next term.
I’d like to thank the 170 people who responded to the Uniform Survey. I thank you for the feedback re quality, sizing and availability. I will be discussing these comments directly with PSW.
Of the 170 people who responded, 64% would use a uniform shop if available. With this in mind we will be investigating the possibility of having uniform for sale at the South Morang PSW shop by the beginning of Term 4. We will continue to sell uniform from the school for those parents who prefer that option.
Kind regards,
Mandy O’Mara
Acting Principal.
