National Reconciliation Week
Over the holidays, Jenaya Bartlett (K11.1) won the NAIDOC Youth Award for the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula, presented at the Nairm Marr Djambana NAIDOC Awards dinner.
This is a huge achievement, and adds to an exponential personal journey for this young Aboriginal woman.
Jenaya is proud of her Wiradjuri heritage, and started exploring more of her cultural identity in Year 8. Since then, she has grown as a leader and an Aboriginal young person.
