EMC Green Team Wetlands Project

The Green Team are currently in the process of designing a mini wetland at EMC to help better filter the water that runs into the school dam and to provide habitat for our native birdlife.

Last week our Green Team students walked down to Cruden Farm to explore the Wetlands they have created to filter and store water run off from the surrounding roads and houses while providing a habitat corridor for native wildlife. 

Students used this time to look at the plants that grow in the wetland environment and the additional structures that have been added to the area for use by visitors including the shelter below to use as inspiration for their plans of our wetland design.
