ABCN LEADERSHIP

ABCN LEADERSHIP SUMMIT REPORT:

Late 2021, I had the honour of being awarded a national ABCN foundation three-year Accelerate Scholarship. As part of my scholarship, I was able to attend a two-day leadership summit in Sydney on the 28th of April, which all flights and accommodation were fully funded by ABCN. The program kickstarted with introductory workshops which we attended at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), a harbourside walk, and a formal dinner at the amazing Macquarie Group venue in Martin Place. The finale took place at Commonwealth Bank 's stunning ‘The Foundry’ at South Eveleigh, where ABCN’s Head of Program Development Maree Drury workshopped Financial Capability and keynote speaker Craig Griffin, Head of BFS Marketing & Growth at Macquarie Group, wowed us with his insightful and engaging presentation on Leadership Skills. Throughout the two-days, I was given the opportunity to meet, connect and collaborate with other Victorian and interstate scholars, business mentors and corporate members which assisted in strengthening my connections beyond our school community and I am truly grateful for.    Leilani MASOE - Year 11
