BADMINTON

Congratulations to both the Boys and Girls Year 8 Mighty Duck teams, in going through to Region Finals on Thursday August 25th.  The Boys were extremely solid all day and with such a big strong squad, was very hard to get everyone a game.  The Girls team led by Michelle and Ana, had a nail biting match against Gilson College and were thankful and lucky enough to get the chocolates.  From here, both teams will need to really ramp up the action as August 25th will be here before we know it.  Again I’m very proud of what all the Mighty Ducks have achieved as sports people.  To see them jumping around and having fun and keeping fit, whilst learning an unusual sport is very rewarding.

Good luck in the next round Ducks, opportunities happen to those who set their goals to achieve!

Year 8 Girls Netball

On Thursday 2nd June the Year 8 Girls Netball team competed in term 2 interschool competition at Diamond Creek outdoor netball courts. The weather was kind and the rain stayed away.

The team won all three games convincingly against Mill Park SC, Mernda Central and Gilson College. The girls qualified for the Grand final but unfortunately, Hazel Glen College were too strong. Runners Up on the day is a grand title.

A great day out, everyone played with energy, enthusiasm and in the spirit of the game. A huge thank you to Tiffany and Olivia from 11V for scoring on the day of the competition.
