John XXIII Netball Club

Welcome to Term 3 and the second half of the netball season. I hope you had an enjoyable break.

There are just five games to go for NetSetGo and six games of regular competition for Years 5 to 12.

Training 

Training begins again this week. Training is a compulsory component of netball, please give your coach plenty of notice if you cannot attend training or the game.

Code of Conduct

As we ramp up to the end of the season please keep in mind that 

• this is a game for the enjoyment of the players
• coaches will make decisions as they see necessary
• the umpires are doing their best
• abuse of umpires, players or coaches will not be tolerated

If there is a problem on court please get the coach or team manager to call me.

Umpire workshops

We are holding workshops for all John XXIII College umpires next week. These are great round table sessions where umpires get further guidance on how to improve and ask questions.

• Year 10 – 12 umpires Tuesday 26 July at 5pm in the Circle of Friends café
• Year 7 – 9 umpires Thursday 28 July at 5pm in the Circle of Friends café

Illness and injury

We encourage all players to take the necessary time to fully recover from any illness or injury.

If a player has cold or flu like symptoms we request that they do not come to training or games. Please let your coach know immediately that you are unwell.
