What have we been doing in PE?
Luna & Argus Communities (Preps)
So far in Term 2, the Luna and Achilles communities have been working on their throwing and catching skills. They have been able to practice with a variety of objects including, ribbons, mini bean bags and have even used our very cool rebound nets!
Argus, Xenica & Ulysses Communities (Year 1&2)
The Argus, Xenica & Ulysess Communities have been introduced to an overhand throw this term, and have practiced their technique by aiming for targets. Later this term, they will get to play a variety of sports where an overhand throw is important, such as Cricket!
Apollo & Icarus Communities (Year 3&4)
The 3/4 communities have been learning some new sports including Netball and Touch Rugby. Students have learnt a variety of drills and have been able to play against each other in games. These skills will definitely help them when they are involved in Interschool Sport in years 5 and 6!
Monarch Community (Year 5&6)
So far in Term 2, the 5/6 students have been improving their skills in sports such as Netball and Touch Rugby. They have been extremely impressive and it is very exciting to see such great effort put in by all. They have also been involved in an AFL clinic, run by AFL Victoria!
What have we been doing in Sport?
District Cross Country
On May 6th, a team of year 3-6 students travelled to Brimbank Park to compete against other schools at District Cross Country. Students represented the school amazingly, and we have 4 students (Caylee, Isabelle, Sabrah and Benny) who will progress to the next round on May 31st. Well done everyone!
Winter A-League Gala Day
On Friday, May 27th, we sent a talented group of 35 students to our Winter District Gala Day. Students competed in round robins for their chosen sports, in an attempt to progress to the Division final. Unfortunately, we did not quite make it... But our students showed resilience and enthusiasm throughout the day. Well done teams!

3-6 House Athletics Day
On June 16th, the 3-6 Students competed at our House Athletics Day held at Sprint Athletics Centre. It was a rainy day, but that didn't dampen the spirit of the students! We had some outstanding performances from many students and a select group of students will now be heading to District Athletics Day in Term 3. More information will be given to those students next term. I would like to say a big thank you to our amazing parent helpers on the day!And finally... the winner of the house cup is.... GREEN HOUSE! Congratulations to all students in Green House that contributed to their points tally on the day!
School Sport Equipment
We have been very lucky to have a fantastic group of Sport Captains, who have been given the job of setting up portable Soccer and AFL goals everyday down on our oval. These can be used by students of all ages at Recess and Lunch times, along with extra footballs and soccer balls which are also found down on the oval!
