Building and Grounds News

Thank you to the community for their patience as we navigate the Capital Works journey.

Building demolition

Over the holiday break we hope that you had an opportunity to come and see the old Administration building as it was demolished. The rest of the building will come down soon and additional play spaces will be constructed.

Term 3; a new beginning

Murrup; spirit

The staff and students were very excited to start Term 3 in the the new building. The gorgeous building has provided the school community with spaces to interact, learn and grow.  It is indeed the Murrup; spirit of CSPS.

Term 3 started with a tour for each class by Mrs Corcoran and Mrs Halket. With this new space, also comes high expectations of how we behave and respect the building.

The community tours have also been well attended with current and future parents taking advantage to explore the new space.

Western Port Hwy intersection closures

15 July - 5 September

Major Road Projects Victoria have informed CSPS that there will be closures of the Western Port Highway 15 July - 5 September.

CSPS have had confirmation that Major Road Projects Victoria will provide traffic support to CSPS similar to the previous closure in March.  This will include deployment of two traffic controllers and a temporary traffic light to CSPS to assist with traffic management during afternoon pick-up.  Such support will be provided on all school days for the duration of the closure.

Please see attachment for further information.

Any questions, please contact Major Road Projects Victoria directly.

We understand that some times these interruptions may cause delays. All students will be safely supervised at both drop of and pick up times.  After 3.45 pm, all students will be taken to the office for pick up from there.

Tradie parking

First and foremost, CSPS wish to thank the CSPS community for the ongoing support with the Capital Works and relative tradie vehicles and car parking.  In relation to the remainder of the Capital Works project, all tradie vehicles are now encouraged to be:

  • within the compound/on site
  • parking in allocated car parks on Pearcedale Road (outside the school)

We hope that this will provide more public car spaces for the CSPS community.
