Catching Up in the Nation's Capital  

The 2022 National Conference of the Order of Australia (AM) was held recently in Canberra.  Michael Crane (SVC 1973-76) is the current Chair of the ACT’s branch and was heavily involved in the organisation and conduct of the conference.  Michael is pictured with fellow Old Virgilian Tony McGee (SVC 1952-56) who travelled from Hobart to be part of the gathering.

Major General (retd) Michael Crane DSC & Bar, AM received his AM in 2002, whilst 

Colonel (retd) Tony McGee AM received his in 1989.

Both have been inducted onto the St Virgil’s College Heritage Roll  - Michael in 2007 and Tony in 2012. 

Both were involved in the St Virgil’s College Centenary celebrations – Tony as Chair of the organising committee and Michael in giving the address and unveiling the plaque at the blessing of the War Memorial Wall on the Austins Ferry campus.
