Goodbye Brother Ed 

Many Old Virgilians would know Brother Ed Braden CP.  Brother Ed  arrived in Hobart to join the Passionists Community at St Joseph’s Church in 1970.  He is about to move back to his home town of Geelong in the near future to commence a well-earned retirement.  Brother Ed has given outstanding service to the Hobart community for in excess of fifty years.

Brother Ed is an old boy of the Christians Brothers - he attended St Mary’s Technical School in Geelong.  On leaving school he entered the Passionist Order and next year he will celebrate 60 years as a member it.

Brother Ed was a regular at the OVA bi-monthly luncheons over many years and in recognition his interest and support he was made an honorary member of the Association.
