SSV Southern Metro Regional Cross Country ,  2022

Hi Everyone,

On Wednesday 15th of June, St Agnes’ star cross country champion Callan Duddy (Grade 4 student) competed in the SSV Southern Metro Regional Cross Country against many other schools at Hastings.  

We are very proud to announce that Callan came 3rd in the 9/10 boys division.  He will now go on to compete at state level on July 14th, in the Yarra Valley.

Congratulations Callan-this is a massive achievement. We are all very proud of your efforts and achievements. Please see some photos below.

Other Sports Updates 

Football Lightning Premiership

Two weeks ago the grades 5 and 6s went to a Football Lightning Premiership. There were 9 schools at the event, we had a few close games that had a 1 to 5 point difference but we ended up getting 4th. We had a very exhilarating day and some of our best players were Tristan, Hugh and Stella.

Netball Lightning Premiership

A few weeks ago the St Agnes Grade 5 and 6 students went off to a Netball Lightning Premiership where we played eight different schools. Our first match was against St Catharines and we ended up winning 13 - 2.  After that we ended up winning our next 6 games so we advanced to the semi finals where we played St Joseph's Black Rock .They ended up winning by one point. Some of our best players for the day were Max, Lucas, And Molo. Overall we came second on the ladder only losing one game.

On Thursday the 16th of June, we had the Netball Lightning Premiership. We had two teams, one was just girls and the other team was a mixed team. We played against other schools such as St James, Our Lady Of Lords (OLOL) and many other challenging schools. We played a number of games and if you won most of the games you would go to the finals. Unfortunately the girls team did not make it to the finals. The mixed team made it to the finals, but sadly they lost against St Joseph in Black Rock. We all had a really fun day of netball.
