All Students back onsite

Please note, that when your child’s year level is not on site, the full remote learning timetable will be in operation.

Key points regarding the procedures for the return to onsite learning:

  • Families with multiple children at our school may find it challenging to do the morning drop off and then return home in time for the first online lesson of the day. For this reason, the first online lesson of the day will begin at 9.15 am for all students at home, from week 3.
  • In the morning, children must be dropped off at the gate, and parents/ guardians cannot enter the school grounds.
  • Parents/ guardians can enter the school grounds at pick up time, but under no circumstances can adults enter the school building/ classrooms. Please ensure social distancing.
  • If you need to pop into the office for any reason, please check first and use the QR code to check-in.
  • The students will need to bring their Chromebooks and readers to school for onsite learning and then take them home for remote learning. We will have staff on hand in the mornings to help our little ones with heavy bags. All other resources can stay at home.
  • All children will be back on site on Friday 5th November.
  • Prior to this, on-site provision will be available for children whose parents are essential workers, working outside of the home or for those students meeting other criteria (disability/ vulnerable). The form for onsite requests will be issued each week via the newsletter, Operoo and Dojo.
  • There will not be a 1.15 pm session on Thursday 21st October as all staff will be remotely attending a seminar with Dr Tom Brunzell, who will be leading a session on student wellbeing during the pandemic and how to best support children when they return to school.
  • Our scheduled school closure (report writing day) has been cancelled and we will operate normally on Monday 1st November. This will mean onsite learning for preps and other students who need to attend; remote learning will run normally on this day for Year 1 to Year 6.
  • Before and after school care will begin full operation from Monday 18th October. Extend will communicate their own protocols for drop off and pick up.
  • End of year fee statements will be sent out early in the term and will show a credit for the cancelled swimming program for the juniors, and a credit for the days missed in the senior program.
  • If you require any support/ accommodations with payment of fees please contact me for a chat. This is completely confidential.
  • All staff will be wearing masks as mandated by the state government. All students are encouraged to wear masks, but this is your choice. (see update in Principal's news)
  • All staff are following state government guidelines regarding mandated vaccinations.

Drop off and pick up from October 18th

In order to ensure the safety of all our families, we ask that you take note of the drop-off and pick up schedule to accommodate this. Face masks and social distancing are required.

Drop Off

  • No parent access to school grounds
  • School gates will be open at 8.30am
  • Parents not to congregate i.e. move on quickly
  • Martin and I will be present at the gate to welcome students and direct them to their classrooms
  • It is critically important that play equipment is not accessed before school by students or siblings.

Pick-Up

  • Parents are allowed on school grounds, but must not enter the building.
  • Staggered pickup times:
    • From 3.15pm: Prep-Year 2 and their siblings
    • From 3:25pm: Years 3 - 6 students

3.30pm pick up is fine, but you are encouraged to come earlier to avoid congestion on the playground.
