Dear Families,
Thank-you to all our fabulous parents and carers for your continued support and perseverance throughout the past term. Despite the challenges and curve balls directed our way, together we have been able to move forward in a unified and committed way. Your ability to be fantastic role models by setting high expectations for your children, day in day out, throughout Lockdown 6.0, to get online and take part in the lessons our teachers have carefully crafted has been exceptional.
Our Tutor Learning Initiative (TLI / intervention) programs were delivered through our online classrooms with teachers planning for small group work, setting Learning Intentions and tasks for students to practice the desired skills to be mastered. Thank-you parents and carers for your continued encouragement and praise of your child/children for their achievements this past term whilst working online.
A friendly reminder to all our parents: If your child was involved during Term 3 in small group intervention online, please take a moment to complete the survey below, link is provided. .https://forms.gle/iYKczA88sSZw8hs89
Your feedback as our partner in your child's learning is greatly appreciated and highly valued.
A special thank-you to Liz Darwish for her outstanding representation of our Tutor Learning Initiative model and the brilliant way she showcased the work of our teachers. Above all else, thank-you Liz for giving voice to Awdel so that he could demonstrate his new found confidence and capabilities. What a gift we have been able to give Awdel, together with the support of you as his parent.
Below is a direct link where Liz and Awdel are featured on the Education Department’s Website. https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/news/Pages/stories/2021/stories_tutoring-support-gives-parent-peace-of-mind.aspx
Please take some time to read the impact our Tutor Learning Initiative has had on one of our very own families.
On behalf of all our staff I would like to extend our warmest wishes to all our families for a safe and restful Term 3 break. We look forward to seeing all our children and families very soon and hopefully back on school grounds and in our classrooms.
