Music

There has been an increase in excitement from the students in Music.  Our Year Two and Three students are all looking forward to returning to onsite learning, so a lot of the students are practicing their pieces as well as recording themselves, with a view of sharing what they have achieved with many of their classmates and teachers in the classroom. 

 

This week, each class has selected the Christmas Carol that they will be performing at our Annual Christmas Carols night.  Many of the students have started learning the songs, and when they return to the Music classroom, they will have an opportunity to record their voices singing the Carols within our Recording Studio. 

 

This week, our students were introduced to the notes of the Bass Clef.  Using the same mnemonic techniques we used when learning the notes of the Treble Clef, the students were able to quickly recognize and name each of the notes that fell on either the line or space of the Bass Clef.  Students have also continued exploring their creativity by composing pieces on their GarageBand app.  Here are some notable examples:
