Debating

Under the strong leadership of this year's Debating Captain, Joshua Jones, the Senior Debating Teams comprising James Baldock, Douglas Daniels, Angelo Fernando, Josh Gomez, Tom Hopkins, Liam Kinna, Alec Ramsbottom, James Scaiff, Will Thomson and Nick Ward started the season with one goal in mind: mastering the art of argument and negotiating the various shades of grey which often accompany the Pandora's Box that is the CSDA Topic.

Our senior debaters certainly proved week after week that they were a force to be reckoned with in the CSDA Competition.  

The Senior A Team won 5 out of 7 debates, narrowly missing out on a finals place.  

Our Senior B Team won 6 out of their 7 debates yet still found themselves having to earn their place in the finals, which they succeeded in doing.

All these young gentlemen represented the College with poise and aplomb week after week. Their class and demeanour was second to none, often earning high praise from opposition schools.

It has truly been an honour to have these men in our Senior Debating Team of 2021: no doubt we will hear many great things about them in years to come.
