Wellbeing

G’day Miner’s Rest Community!

We are now well underway for the last term of this year. What a crazy year it has been too! Because of the year we’ve had, a number of factors can impact a child’s readiness for learning each day.

At Miner’s Rest Primary School, we believe everybody’s mental health and wellbeing is important. In fact, apart from teachers, we have a dedicated Wellbeing Team at MRPS to support vulnerable people such as students. We can’t leave our students’ mental health and wellbeing to chance. The Wellbeing Team at Miner’s Rest is ready and able to support you and the students to check in to see if they are mentally well and ready for each and every day of learning. Any concerns, reach out for the support they might need.

We also think you should give some time to looking out for yourself.

Did you know that in Australia and similar countries only about 10% of people get early help when they are suffering compromised mental health? At Miner’s Rest Primary we want to help you find the courage to reach out if you need to.

Let’s finish bravely the last term of this tough year full of changes and challenges. It’s okay that things have been hard and it is also okay to ask for support. Please contact the wellbeing team via the front office for a confidential chat if needed.

Take care & stay safe
