BYO Container for the school canteen

To reduce plastic pollution and pressure the canteen to go plastic-free, bring your own reusable container & cutlery for canteen food. Make sure the container is clean and large enough for 1 serving.

It is estimated that by the year 2050 there’ll be more plastic in the ocean than fish and there has never been a more important time to reduce plastics than now! So instead of buying lunch in a single use plastic container, bring your own from home, and please think about your decisions and the environmental impacts they will have.

Save the Black-Throated Finch!

On May 31st, the Queensland and Federal government approved the clearing of 16,500 hectares of Black-Throated Finch habitat for the Adani Carmichael coal mine, without considering that this would likely force the Black-Throated finch to extinction. Over the next few weeks the Green Team will be collecting Black-Throated Finch inspired artworks to send to the Queensland government in protest of the recent approvals. Artworks can be of any medium from drawings to paintings. Please place artwork[s] in the box in the library which has a Black Throated Finch on it.
