With the extended lockdown we will postpone our meeting until we are back at school

Role of Parents & Friends Committee

  1. To provide support, welcome and information to each other and all families.
  2. To plan and organise functions including fundraisers approved by the principal and committee. (Not all events need to be fundraisers).
  3. To encourage and provide parent participation in school life.

Membership of Parents & Friends

  1. Every parent/carer of a child that attends the school is a member of the Parents & Friends.
  2. Members are welcome to participate in a meaningful way.
  3. We are very conscious that many parents work and as such may participate in some activities within the Parents & Friends.
  4. Some parents will have roles on the Parents & Friends Committee.
  5. Some parents may not have a  specific roles but may organise /assist at P&F events.
  6. All parents must have a current Working With Children Check, details of which must be registered at the office.

Some Principles around  Parents & Friends Committees

  • Fundraising contributions are given to the school to use for benefit of the students/school
  • The Parents and Friends are encouraged to give suggestions/ideas for what purpose fundraising could be used for. These ideas are advisory. Final decisions remain with the Principal.
  • All Parents and Friends ordering and purchasing must be approved and go through the school. Parents can not order or purchase anything without approval.
  • All P&F activities undertaken must meet  compliance legal regulations/ requirements
