St Vincent de Paul

We are called to help......

This  Friday 18th June the school will gather for a prayer service. The Service will focus on St Vincent de Paul and the work of the St Vincent de Paul Society.  Our Parish  has a St Vincent de Paul group led by Marc Smith who work to support the needs of those within our local area. 

At this time of the year, when the days and nights are cold, the needs of the poor are particular great and urgent. 

We are  allcalled to support the work of the Society. 

In a very simple way we can show this support this week by bringing non perishable food items to school.   If every child can bring at least one non perishable food item, that will go a long way to supporting families in our area who need some grocery items. 

At our Prayer Service we will launch our Mini Vinnies team; a small group of students from Year 4-6.  Fr Eric will bless the Mini Vinnies Badges. The Mini Vinnies will make a pledge and wear these badges  as a sign that they will organise some activities and lead the school in service of those in need.
