Sport For Life

by Keiren Vernon

On Monday 17th May, 8B went to the local Croquet club for their Physical Education class. In class we have been working through a lifelong sports unit, exposing students to different types of physical activity that can be undertaken at most ages, across the lifespan.

Throughout the lesson they were introduced to the history of the game, learnt the rules and were able to practise playing Croquet. This was a great experience for the students as they had the opportunity to work with members of the community who have played Croquet for numerous years.

The students thoroughly enjoyed this experience with lots of smiles and laughter whilst improving their skills significantly as the lesson went on. Thank you to Barb Blamey for coordinating this event for the class.
