In The Workshop With Yr 7

During the past few weeks our Yr 7 students have been busy designing and making their own pull-along-toys. Each student was required to create a suitable design within the constraints of the design brief, ensuring their toy would be able to stand alone and move freely when pulled by the attached string.

The task offered the opportunity for students to learn many new skills and try their hand with new tools and materials. This included the use of a Pyrography machine, used to etch burn marks into wood to create various patterns, typography and designs. The students really enjoyed learning the different processes and techniques required to make and complete their masterpieces.

All students have done and fantastic job and should be proud of their finished product, it was great to see so many different designs!
