Founder’s Day Lunch – Friday 11 June

Due to the easing of recent COVID-19 restrictions and the success of last year’s lunch distribution, it has been decided to continue with our external suppliers to deliver fresh and healthy lunch options to the students and staff on Founder’s Day.

During recess on Founder’s Day, students will be offered a Sara Lee Blueberry muffin and a packet of potato chips of their choice.

For lunch, each student and staff member will be given the opportunity to choose one wrap option, and for those who are gluten intolerant, they will be able to choose one sandwich option from the gluten-free list.

Wrap Only Option:

Sandwich Only Option (Gluten-Free):

BLAT (Bacon, lettuce, tomato and creamy avocado)Ham, cheese and tomato
Chicken CaesarChicken and lettuce
Falafel and HummusRoasted vegetable and pesto

The individual lunch orders will be packed into homeroom/class tubs on the morning of Founder’s Day and distributed to students and staff during lunch time.

Students and staff will also be offered a Dairy Milk Giant Freddo and a canned drink of their choice from each of the House bases set up on the day. Boys will be encouraged to place their empty drink cans into specially marked bins to earn College Cup points for their House.

Junior School classroom teachers or Secondary homeroom teachers will record students’ lunch options during morning homeroom on either Tuesday 25 May or Wednesday 26 May.  If your son is absent on either of these days, please email your son’s relevant classroom teacher or homeroom teacher with their order, so they do not miss out on their lunch.

If your son is unable to eat the complimentary items provided by the College, they will need to supply their own recess and lunch as there will be no Canteen facilities available on Founder’s Day.

A separate email will be sent to parents/carers on Thursday 20 May providing an ingredients’ list for each item supplied. If there are any dietary requirements, concerns about the ingredients or general enquiries, please contact Mrs Ingrid Viney on ingrid.viney@spc.nsw.edu.au or Mr Rob Simpson on robert.simpson@spc.nsw.edu.au at the College.
