Senior Secondary Department News

SENIOR SECONDARY
Senior Secondary students have been working hard this term on their Projects; RIJI, Expo, VET and SBAT courses.
RIJI stands for Real Industry Job Interviews. Students have been writing and updating their Resumes, writing a Job Application and Cover Letter for a job that they have chosen. They will be interviewed for these jobs and given valuable feedback on their skills and techniques in Term 4.
Our Expo project is about ‘Life After Jackson’. Students have been researching, ‘what opportunities are out in the local community for when they leave school’ in Leisure, The World of Work and Further Education areas. They have been busy planning and designing stands to showcase their findings and inform the school community in form of an Expo. They plan to hold this event in Term 4, following the Government Guidelines of course.
The VET and SBAT courses have been running weekly, on line, with students completing the necessary theory work. All are looking forward to heading back into the workplaces when we return to school next term.
At the end of every week, staff and students meet together on Teams and share their thoughts, chat and participate in some fun activities. Last week a few staff and students sent in their baby photos for a ‘Who Loves Ya Baby’ game. Students had to guess ‘who was who’ noting that all babies are in Senior Secondary.
Can you guess ‘who’s who?’ Apply to Kathy B for the answers 😊
Have a great holiday and we all look forward to being back together again soon.
CAN YOU NAME THE BABIES?
