A Few Words From The Principal

Dear parents, families and friends,

Just a few short words from me this week. I've run out of puff!!

School Closure next Wednesday 9th September. No online classes or lessons as staff will be preparing for Term 4. This is a rest day or a catch up day for students.

The last week of term, 14th - 18th September will be a more relaxed week, with a focus on student wellbeing as we complete the term. There will be Google Meet sessions, however these will not be formal teaching sessions, rather more relaxed and informal sessions involving fun activities to promote and maintain student wellbeing. This has been a very challenging and tiering term and we need to be mindful of this.

After this weekend we should have a bit of a clearer idea about what Term 4 may look like in regards to the return of students to on-site learning. Once clear details are given to me I will communicate to you St. Augustine's plan and timeline for the return to on-site learning.

Please visit all pages in our newsletter. Each one contains important information about our school that I do not write about here. Items such as key dates, community events and changes to school procedures are included in the various pages. So please read all pages! You never know what you might find!!

Remember to create your spoon characters for St. Augustine's Spoonville. Some residents have already moved in and it is looking great!!

Also, a reminder to all students to complete the survey for the Pocket Park on Birmingham Street by the 24th September.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Fathers' Day to all our Dads and Granddads!!

Kind regards,

Matthew Stead

Principal
