Year 9 News

Welcome back to Term 4 everyone - it will be a fast and a busy term!

There is still a small group of students who will need to complete the Morrisby online assessment, so please check your email on a regular basis.

During the Term 3 holidays, Aliyah P and Kayla E competed at the National Clubs Carnival for aerobic gymnastics in the Gold Coast and placed 1st and 4th respectively. WOW and CONGRATULATIONS to you both!

A big CONGRATULATIONS to a few individuals for their efforts at the regional athletics comp yesterday... 

Firstly, Thomas L, Samuel G, Usman U, Hasan A have made it through to the State final for the 4x100m relay. To think a quarter of a state finalist team are from one class is unreal! Unofficial title of fastest Year 9 class in the world! 

And Taylor L has reached the finals for javelin. I think Taylor surprised herself with her efforts, upsetting some fancied competition. Hopefully, your best throw is still to come!

Also, good luck to the intermediate boys’ basketball team competing at the divisional tournament this week.

We are looking forward to our final celebration together with the whole Year 9 cohort in December at Phillip Island.
