Vermont Secondary College recently received a lovely handwritten letter from an elderly Chinese community member praising one of our Year 11 students. The Year 11 student kindly stopped to help them when they got lost and used Google Maps on their phone to help direct the elderly gentleman on his way.

As English is not his first language, he was very thankful of the student’s help as he was sure he would have otherwise found it very difficult to find his way home. He was very impressed by the student’s thoughtful and kind assistance, and was pleasantly surprised that a teenager would take the time to stop and assist an elderly person.

It is always a pleasure to hear stories from the community of our students’ good deeds!
