COMMUNITY AND FAMILY STUDIES HELP HOMELESS PEOPLE

Last term, Year 11 CAFS students were fortunate to have our very own Sue Beamer give a presentation about her volunteer work at Mama Lana’s Community Foundation (MLCF). This is a wholly not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping the, often-forgotten, homeless and underprivileged community in the greater Penrith region. 

Our CAFS students gained an insight into community organisations and how they assist people to meet their basic needs. They were motivated to give back, generously, by donating toiletry and stationery items in bags and back packs. 

Well done CAFS. You don’t just talk the talk, you walk the walk.
