What's Happening at CHPS

Wow what a way to start Term 4!

The weather on Monday evening was perfect for the return of our Art Show after 3 years in the shadows.  Students displayed their amazing creative talent for all to see at CHPS.

The turn out was incredible and I am still quite overwhelmed with the support of our school community.

If lockdown has taught us anything it is the importance of the Arts, having a creative output, as well as coming together as a school community.  We have been starved of events like this and it was wonderful to see such a turn out.

Events like this take a village to put together and we have a pretty good village here at CHPS.

So I have a few thank-yous to do:

  • Christian and the Leadership team for your support and the BBQ on the night
  • Zart Art for their amazing donation
  • CHAPS for donating the 10kg block of chocolate
  • Staff for volunteering their time Sunday afternoon and Monday evening
  • Nikki Edwards, Danielle Bell, Kelly Kennedy, Neroli Michell, Rebecca Andrew
  • Finally, to all our students for all your hard work this year.  Absolutely amazing work!
  • I think I have everyone, but apologies if I have forgotten anyone.

Winners of the raffle are:

1st Prize - Jasmine C - JLC

2nd Prize - Noah S - PSB

3rdn Prize - Brian S - JMW

Students who finished 1st and 2nd in their event will progress to Region on Thursday 20th October.  Good luck to all 9 competitors who have made it to the next stage!

Interschool Sport Finals

Congratulations to the Red Tennis Team ( Term 1) for qualifying to play in the Division Final on Friday last week at Croydon Primary School.  Unfortunately they lost the round, however, it was a very close score, so well done to all the team members.

Also well done to the Blue  Mixed Volleybounce team who played off in a District finals last Friday. They played against Yarra Valley Grammar and another extremely close game, but lost the overall set.

Tomorrow the Blue Girls Volleybouce team  ( Term 1) will be playing off in the Division Finals at HE Parker Reserve, against 2 other schools.  We wish the girls the best of luck. Thank you to Ms Twining for assisting the girls tomorrow.
